Ministries

St. Luke’s offers ministries for all ages.  Our goal is to follow Jesus’ instruction of making disciples through worship, education, and fellowship.

We offer a wide variety of Children’s Ministries, including Sunday School, Vacation Bible School (VBS), B.A.S.I.C. Training (our Wednesday evening program which includes classes and music), and Family Events throughout the year.  During our church service on Sundays, we have a Nursery (for young children), a Lamb’s Message in the service, and Children’s Church (for Preschool through 2nd grade).

Our Youth Ministry, called Rooted, is for 6th-12th graders.  We have two groups – a Jr. High (6th-8th grade) and a Sr. High (9th-12th grade).  Confirmation (7th-8th grade) is during B.A.S.I.C. Training on Wednesday.

Our Campus Ministries (called LCMS-U) is for our college age young adults.  We see a variety of people from Kansas State University, the Manhattan Area Technical College, Manhattan Christian College, Fort Riley, and the surrounding area.

Our Adult Ministries includes Small Groups and Bible Studies, 1517 Conferences, and Theology on Tap.

Our Outreach & Mission includes our American Heritage Girls & Trail Life USA Troops, HIS, and ISM inc.

Our Music Ministry includes music with children in Sunday School and B.A.S.I.C. Training, Chimes and Vocal with our Jr. High, adult choir, Praise Team, and Hand Bells (called JuBELLation).

We have volunteers opportunities for all ages.  Visit our individual ministry tabs for more information.

New: Child Protection Policy – The Children’s and Youth Ministry Boards have worked together to create a Child Safety Policy.  This new policy now requires that anyone working with a minor at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church will need to go through training and a background check.  If you have any desire to volunteer for the Children’s or Youth Boards of St. Luke’s in anyway, shape or form (ex: teaching in BASIC, chaperoning youth events).  Please fill out this Authorization and Consent Form and turn it into the church office then go through training.

We have American Heritage Girls / Trail Life USA . Both troops – KS0057 – are owned and operated by St. Luke’s. A good way to think about these groups is “Scouting with Jesus.”
