Music

Below is information on the musical opportunities at St. Luke’s. No prior experience is needed. We welcome beginners! Come and experience the joy of using music to praise our Lord and enhance our worship services. Children’s Choirs

Rehearse on Wednesdays as part of BASIC Training (our children’s midweek program). They sing in the church services on Sundays four times a school year (twice at the early service and twice at the late service) and at the Spring Concert. The Children’s Christmas Program is rehearsed during this time as well. Rehearsal times change slightly during the Lent and Advent seasons.

King’s Kids – 3rd-6th grade, 6:15-6:45pm in the church sanctuary
Little Lambs – Preschool-2nd grade, 6:50-7:15pm in the main preschool room in the Education Building

A Joyful Sound (Vocal Choir)

Rehearses on Wednesdays during the school year at 7:45-8:30pm in the church sanctuary. They sing about three times a semester at both services on Sunday and at the Spring Concert. During the Lent and Advent seasons we rehearse after the 7:30pm midweek service from about 8:15-8:45pm.

Rainbow Ringers (Youth Chime Choir) and Youth Vocal Choir

Rehearses Wednesdays during BASIC Training (our children’s midweek program) from 7:15-7:45pm in the church sanctuary. The chime choir plays at one service in December and at the Children’s Christmas Program. The vocal choir sings at their confirmation service. Rehearsal times change slightly during the Lent and Advent seasons.

Praise & Worship Team

Rehearses on Tuesdays at 6:00pm before the Sunday they play and on Sunday at 10:00am in the church sanctuary. They lead the 11:00am contemporary service music on Sundays once a month and play at the Spring Concert.

Special Music

We welcome soloists or small ensembles to play or sing for special music during our services!

Organists

Play for our two traditional church services, Saturday at 6:00pm and Sunday at 8:30am. Please let Gretchen know if you would like to be added to the rotation schedule with our other organists. Organists are paid by the weekend.
