Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is also known as Lutheran Women in Mission. This is an auxiliary group in our church body.
LWML meets in small groups called a “Circle.”
St. Luke’s has two Circles.
- Elizabeth Circle meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month (in January, March, May, June, August, and October) at 10:00 a.m. at church.
- Mary-Martha Circle meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month (in January, March, May, June, August, and October) at 7:00 p.m. at the church.
When the Circles meet together it is called a “Guild” or “Society” or “Group.”
St. Luke’s Guild or Society or Group usually meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month (in February, April, July, September, & November) at 10:00 a.m. at the church. They also meet together for a Christmas party in December.
The Mission of Love is the Quilters group. They meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 9:00 a.m. at the church. No experience is needed.
When the LWML Society or Groups in our circuit churches meet together, it is called a “Rally” or an “Zone Event.” The Rally or Zone Event occurs twice a year – once in the spring and once in the fall.
On alternating years, ladies of the LWML meet for a State Convention (even calendar years) and a National Convention (odd calendar years).
