Lutheran Women’s Missionary League

Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is also known as Lutheran Women in Mission. This is an auxiliary group in our church body.

LWML meets in small groups called a “Circle.”

St. Luke’s has two Circles.

  • Elizabeth Circle meets on the 1st Tuesday of the month (in January, March, May, June, August, and October) at 10:00 a.m. at church.
  • Mary-Martha Circle meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month (in January, March, May, June, August, and October) at 7:00 p.m. at the church.

When the Circles meet together it is called a “Guild” or “Society” or “Group.”

St. Luke’s Guild or Society or Group usually meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month (in February, April, July, September, & November) at 10:00 a.m. at the church.  They also meet together for a Christmas party in December.

The Mission of Love is the Quilters group. They meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the Month at 9:00 a.m. at the church. No experience is needed.

When the LWML Society or Groups in our circuit churches meet together, it is called a “Rally” or an “Zone Event.”  The Rally or Zone Event occurs twice a year – once in the spring and once in the fall.

On alternating years, ladies of the LWML meet for a State Convention (even calendar years) and a National Convention (odd calendar years).
