Tracie Hudson

Tracie Hudson is a farm-raised Nebraska girl. She and her four siblings attended Newman Grove Public Schools. Tracie, in addition to her three sisters, attended Concordia University, in Seward, Nebraska, to become LCMS church workers. Her brother stuck around home to work on the family farm. Tracie graduated from CUNE in 2007, earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education. She accepted her first call to be the 1st and 2nd grade teacher, at Zion Lutheran School, in Kearney, Nebraska. She taught both combined grades and single grades, during her 6 years at Zion. Tracie’s duties also included coaching volleyball and basketball and serving on the youth board. After moving to Kansas, she became a stay-at-home-mom for 2 years.

As a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Tracie is involved as a 1st and 2nd grade BASIC teacher, has taught the preschool VBS class and is currently on the VBS planning team. Teaching preschool full-time is a new adventure for Tracie, but it is one that she is very passionate about, since her son is preschool age. She finds true joy in teaching the little ones about Jesus! Singing songs, reading stories, circle time and one-on-one time with students are her favorite moments of the day.

Tracie currently lives in Manhattan with her husband and son, Gavin. Her husband, Andrew, works at Fort Riley, as a Health Educator. She enjoys quality time with family, playing the piano and guitar, being active and Husker football. Tracie is thrilled to be working with the kiddos at St. Luke’s Early Learning Center and looks forward to watching them grow!
